MACRO is seeking a Database Manager to support the database management activities of several large-scale surveillance projects. Main responsibilities will include database management for two large-scale, national HIV/AIDS surveillance systems that monitor risk behaviors among populations at risk for infection and behaviors and clinical outcomes among HIV-infected persons. Activities will include involvement in data process and monitoring system design and testing, data processing and reconciliation, data set compilation and reporting, ad hoc analyses, technical assistance site visits and provision of remote technical assistance to federally funded grantees.
Applicants must possess hands-on expertise in SPSS and SAS including programming skills, experience in database construction and documentation, and data cleaning, editing, and reconciliation. Knowledge of MS Access and SUDAAN are a plus.
