Conference Planning

Whether you are planning a meeting for 10 employees or a conference for 5,000 participants, Macro can provide the services and the support needed to make your function a success. Macro provides conference, working group, and meeting support and logistics services—everything from setting up computer equipment to recruiting exhibitors and attendees. We can even design the "look" of your event, coordinate videography and photography coverage, create and implement all media outreach efforts before the event, and develop briefing materials for event participants and the media.

Safe Schools/Healthy Students Training Institutes
Macro plans, promotes, and conducts Communications Training Institutes for Safe Schools/Healthy Students grantees from across the Nation. Macro handles all logistical arrangements for the institutes and subsequent individual technical assistance, including hotel accommodations, conference facilities, and airline reservations. Using our in-house editorial, graphic, and reproduction departments and capabilities, we develop, produce, and distribute registration and participant materials such as save-the-date announcements, registration packages, name badges, participant lists, Institute binders/manuals, and evaluation forms. Our communications staff also provides appropriate trainers and presenters based on the topics offered during each Institute.

2003 Cancer Conference
Macro staff worked with the CDC's Division of Cancer Prevention and Control (DCPC) to support the management of the 2003 Cancer Conference, Comprehensive Approaches to Cancer Control: The Public Health Role. Our role involved a wide variety of conference planning and management tasks, including the development of the agenda and identification and recruitment of speakers. We also coordinated and developed 10 short courses to be delivered prior to or following the conference. We handled all marketing and publicity for the conference, designed and managed the conference Web site, and developed print and online materials. In addition, we developed an exhibitor prospectus and exhibit hall plan.
